The same principle applies to pre-starts. A completed form has limited value if a reported defect is hidden in an inbox. The dashboard should distinguish between minor observations and safety-critical defects, notify the appropriate person, record whether the asset was stood down, and retain the repair or clearance history.

Mass compliance requires similar discipline. If onboard mass information is available, the dashboard should present usable exception thresholds and trend data, not overwhelm users with raw sensor readings.
