Features Included in Netcorp's Heavy Vehicle Module

Single Touch Compliance

One of our most popularly used features by heavy vehicle operators is our recently added Single Touch Compliance feature. Companies can monitor their fleet compliance from a single window, including speed, driver sign on and pre-start completion in real time. This feature gives operators complete transparency in the running of their fleet to ensure drivers are completing their required tasks before commencing the operation of their vehicle and during their shift by handling issues with compliance in real time. It also allows the operator to provide an audit trail of how these compliance issues are dealt with by providing acknowledgements which are logged against any compliance breach to ensure Chain of Responsibility requirements are met by the operator.

Live Driver Fatigue Management

Drivers are provided with a proprietary Netcorp Driver App that is used to complete a driver’s day to day activities. This application will monitor and manage a driver’s regulatory requirements to take required rest breaks at the appropriate time throughout their working day. Data is presented to drivers and fleet managers that is synchronised in real time to ensure that a fleet can be managed for driver fatigue rest break requirements no matter how large or diverse your operations may be. Providing this capability to operators is priceless in ensuring they are complying with legislative requirements and have implemented a solution in their business to minimise the risk of fatigue related incidents and increase the overall safe operation of their business activities in the heavy vehicle industry.

Centrally Managed Pre-Start Checks

Netcorp’s centrally managed pre-start check module allows fleet operators to deploy, manage and maintain up to date pre-start checks for multiple vehicle types and configurations. These are configured within our system with both questions and pictures that can be easily and instantly deployed to various vehicle types. Drivers who sign on to these vehicles are presented with a requirement to complete the pre-start check that is relevant to the vehicle they are about to operate, and the completion of these pre-start checked are centrally monitored for the whole of fleet in real time using Netcorp’s Heavy Vehicle Module Dashboard. Netcorp’s system also has the ability to grade individual pre-start questions with up to 3 different severity grades from low to severe. This will enable any vehicle that does not pass a high severity check, (such as a brake operational check) to be escalated in real time to the relevant fleet supervisor for confirmation and checking before the vehicle is allowed to be operated, and will raise and exception alert, if a vehicle is continued to be operated with an active high severity fault.

Fault Management

If a fault is detected during a Pre-Start check or throughout a driver’s shift, Netcorp’s Driver App, will synchronise this information with the operator’s dashboard and log this centrally in Netcorp’s platform. This data is then used to manage the lifecycle of the fault within Netcorp’s system, or can also be extracted via API to integrate into a business’s existing asset maintenance systems. Using the fault creation process in Netcorp’s system allows real time management of faults that are identified during the pre-start check process and will automatically assign a severity level, so that vehicles are not driven with a high severity issue, or throughout a driver’s shift on an ad-hoc basis for any incidents or faults that may be  identified later. Drivers can also take photos and add notes to these logged faults to assist in the swiftness of a fault be rectified, ensuring they are properly dealt with and/or closed by the relevant fleet supervisor. By providing this facility to drivers and logistical supervisors, it ensures that the whole chain is involved in the safe operation and roadworthiness of a heavy vehicle.

On Board Vehicle Interfacing

Using Netcorp’s propietary HVM01 Black Box Hardware, we give heavy vehicle operators and drivers complete transparency of a vehicle’s onboard systems. From the same screen a driver uses to manage the rest of their compliance requirements, a driver can easily flick over to a customised vehicle systems interface which is wirelessly connected (via bluetooth) to provide information required for their daily operations. We have developed our own custom Concrete Truck Interface (pictured) which interfaces directly into a vehicle’s mixer control system and delivers real time information to the driver and the back office of the condition and management of their load on board. Netcorp has also customised solutions in this space for the Waste, Marine and Civil Engineering industries.

Job System and Document Management

Netcorp’s Driver App also has the capability to integrate into existing job management systems. Drivers can use our interface to run 3rd party applications from a controlled environment, or customised to integrate directly into our “JOB” screen for the presentation of relevant job data or documents related to the job they have been tasked with. With documents that are centrally managed and deployed from our platform, drivers are given access to the latest relevant site access documents, safe work method statements (SWMS), or company notices digitally and without the need to ensure drivers aren’t carrying outdated information.

Heavy Vehicle Navigation

Heavy Vehicle Navigation is a critical feature that can deployed to your heavy vehicle fleet. Unlikestandard digital navigation tools, Netcorp’s partnership and integration with Here Maps, allows a driver to configure their vehicle combination type,by easily selecting it from the configuration screen. This will ensure that any navigation assistance that is provided by our system considers the relevant road regulations such as weight limits and height limits are considered for the planned journey. This tool can potentially prevent an incident that may not only prove costly with fines and regulatory restrictions but also a way to provide new drivers with guided safer pathways, through unfamiliar areas.

On Board Mass Management

Netcorp has developed its own On Board Scales and Mass Management system which connects directly to the driver’s interface allowing them full transparency of their loads, where permanent fixed scales and weighbridges may not always be available. By installing the capability to monitor up to 4 x Seperate Axle Groups into our proprietary HVM01 Blackbox, our system can calibrate, monitor and alert for overmass scenarios which may potentially save a driver from driving a vehicle this is overloaded.
